Legacy Questions — How Do You Want to Be Remembered

Legacy is the answer to: "What will remain of me?" These questions help you articulate — with clarity and intention — what you hope your life meant, what influence you want to carry forward, and how you want to be held in the memories of those you love. They turn the abstract concept of legacy into something concrete and personal.

Legacy questions begin at Level 8 because they require the deepest self-knowledge and the courage to state, plainly, what you hope your life adds up to. They move beyond accomplishments into character: not what you DID, but who you WERE and what you meant to the people around you. They ask you to define your own measure of a life well-lived.

Early questions explore conscious legacy: What do you most want your children to inherit from you (not material things)? What tradition do you hope continues? Later questions become more existential: What impact do you hope your life has had on the world, however small? If your grandchildren could know only one thing about you, what would you want it to be?

At Level 10, these questions become direct conversation with the future: Record a message to your grandchildren on their wedding day. Record what you'd say at a family gathering 50 years from now. Tell the person listening what matters most about the life you lived.

For families, legacy recordings are the most treasured part of a SoulReel library. They're the recordings played at funerals, rewatched on anniversaries, and discovered by grandchildren who never met the person speaking. They transform absence into presence — giving future family members the gift of hearing their ancestor speak directly to them across time, with love, intention, and the full weight of a life behind every word. They are the ultimate act of showing up for people you may never meet but love nonetheless.
